Volleyball Team Triumphs in First Tri-Match of the Season

Cumberland, MD – The Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) volleyball team continues their undefeated streak with a stellar performance in their first tri-match of the season. Traveling for their second road trip, ACM faced Chesapeake College and Frederick Community College, showcasing their resilience and skill.

In the first match against Frederick Community College, ACM secured a 3-1 victory. The team dominated the first set with a score of 25-10, faced a setback in the second set losing 16-25, but bounced back to win the next two sets 25-19 and 25-20.

With little time to rest, ACM took on the host school, Chesapeake College, at 3:00 PM. Despite losing the first set 20-25, ACM rallied impressively to win the next three sets 25-9, 25-17, and 25-15, demonstrating their determination and teamwork.

This successful outing brings ACM's season record to 3-0, maintaining their undefeated status. The team is now gearing up to face their border rival, Potomac State College, in what promises to be an exciting match at Bob Kirk Arena on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 PM.

Coach Joey Brewer was thoroughly impressed by the ladies' ability to rally back after being down in different sets to pull off the win in the tri-match. "The team showed a lot of resilience today. Had to dig deep a couple of sets. I was proud of how they were able to regain their composure and pull out with 2 wins on the road." Brewer stated.
