ACM Trojans Sweep CCBC Dundalk in Peculiar Doubleheader

In an unusual turn of events with how the double header played out, the Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) Trojans still secured victories in both games of a doubleheader against CCBC Dundalk, with the second game spanning across two days due to an unexpected pause for darkness.

The first game, played on February 25, set the tone for the Trojans' dominance. Brady Gavula's powerful homerun contributed to the team's 8-5 victory, with Tyler Serb showcasing his prowess on the mound to secure the win.

However, it was the second game that unfolded in a particularly unique fashion. As the game progressed, it became evident that both teams were evenly matched, with the score tied 13-13 at the end of the 6th inning. Darkness descended, forcing the game to be postponed until February 27, 2024, for its conclusion.

When the game resumed, the tension was palpable as both teams fought fiercely for the win. Brady Gavula once again emerged as a pivotal player, kickstarting the Trojans' offensive onslaught with a solo homerun in the 9th inning. Logan Hokuf followed suit with an RBI single, further solidifying ACM's lead. The Trojans surged ahead, scoring 4 runs in the inning and ultimately securing a remarkable victory.

The Trojans' pitching was equally impressive, with Christian Toledo entering the game in relief during the 7th inning and delivering a stellar performance. Toledo held CCBC Dundalk at bay, allowing no hits and no runs while striking out 3 batters and walking only 1 during his remarkable 3 innings on the mound.

This doubleheader sweep against CCBC Dundalk showcased the ACM Trojans' resilience, skill, and ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.

Following their impressive victories against CCBC Dundalk, the Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) Trojans are gearing up for their next challenge. On March 2nd, 2024, the Trojans will face off against Delaware Tech in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM respectively.

In their previous doubleheader, the Trojans displayed exceptional skill and determination, securing an 8-5 victory in game one and a thrilling 17-13 win in game two against CCBC Dundalk. The Trojans are 6-0.

Be sure to mark your calendars and catch all the action as the ACM Trojans continue their quest for victory on March 2nd.
