ACM Trojans Fall Short in Thrilling Battle Against Harcum: Preview of Postseason Potentially Unfolds at Bob Kirk Arena
In a thrilling clash at the Bob Kirk Arena in Cumberland, Maryland, Allegany College of Maryland's Men's Basketball team squared off against (19-4) Harcum Bears in what proved to be a tantalizing preview of potential postseason action. Despite putting up a valiant effort, the ACM Trojans battle was closely contested.
The game witnessed a showcase of 4 players in double digits scoring, with ACM's Tyson Oghene stealing the spotlight with an electrifying 33-point performance. Oghene's was particularly evident at the free-throw line, where he was 100% from the line, sinking all 14 of his attempts. Alongside him, Cam'Ron Brown contributed15 points while distributing 10 assists. Lamont Jones also made his presence felt, notching up 19 points and swiping 3 steals for a few redemption possessions for the Trojans Despite a late surge, fueled by Jason Thomas's clutch three-pointer at the top of the key and Jeremiah Mobley provided a spark off the bench with 16 points and a slick drive, but it wasn't quite enough to snatch the win.
On the opposing side, Harcum showcased a well-rounded offensive display, with five players reaching double digits in scoring. Zion Lott, Kendall Allen, Ebenezer Ogoh, Ademar Santos, and Nick Jones spearheaded the Bears' attack. Despite encountering early foul trouble, Harcum's bench depth proved to be a game-changer, with Nick Jones and De'Antwan Randall stepping up when it mattered most, particularly in the rebounding department.
Harcum extends their impressive record to 20-4, and ACM maintains a respectable 20-5 standing. Looking ahead, ACM aims to regroup and bounce back stronger as they gear up to face Baltimore City at home for a little love on Valentine's Day.
The Trojans express their gratitude to everyone who showed up for Community Day and supported the men's basketball team.
