Four Trojans Receive NJCAA Region 20 Division I All-Region Honors

Cumberland, Md. — Allegany College of Maryland placed four student-athletes on the NJCAA Region 20 Division I All-Region lists this season, led by first-team selections Jaylen Brown and Darrien Ponder, honorable mention for Alex Byrd, and honorable mention for Genesis Alvarez on the women's side. Each honoree played a pivotal role in ACM's 2025–26 campaigns, producing signature performances and consistent minutes against a rugged Region 20 slate.


GENESIS ALVAREZ — Honorable Mention, NJCAA DI WBB All-Region

Freshman • Forward • ACM Women's Basketball

A workhorse in her first collegiate season, Genesis Alvarez earned Honorable Mention All-Region recognition after logging 34.2 minutes per game and finishing with 10.5 points per game across 20 recorded appearances. Her role grew rapidly in November; she started 17 of the final 18 logged games and reached double figures 10 times.
