The Western Maryland Classic schedule is set! Mark your calendar for three days of BIG match ups on Dec 14th, 15th & 16th!
(McHenry, MD) - The Allegany College of Maryland Men's basketball team has been invited to The Deep Creek Lake Juco Showdown in mid-December. The Inaugural Western Maryland Classic takes place December 14-16, 2023 at Garrett College. Garrett College will be hosting a weekend event set to host a variety of levels of basketball and teams; one being spotlighted – JUCO.
The Trojans are set to face another neighboring and longtime rival 0 Hagerstown Community College on Thursday, December 14th at 8:00 PM. Later in the weekend, Garrett College will have their eyes set on Potomac State College on Saturday, December 16th at 5:30.
Potomac State College in Eastern West Virginia, Hagerstown Community College, Allegany College of Maryland and hosting Garrett College all of Western Maryland and all members of the NJCAA Region 20 have long since had battles and rivalries.
The Trojans competed in the Jim Brown Classic, but did not yet see Hagerstown Community College although the Hawks were the host team. The Trojans opened up on the road for the 2023 season against Garrett College, walking out with a win.
The Inaugural Western Maryland Classic also features MANY ESPN High School Basketball Top 25 teams.
