NELSONVILLE, OH — Allegany College of Maryland baseball powered its way to a road sweep at Hocking College on Wednesday, grinding out a 5–3 win in Game 1 before erupting for a 15–2 victory in Game 2, highlighted by an immaculate inning from freshman pitcher Ivan Sypa.
Game 1: ACM 5, Hocking 3
ACM opened the doubleheader with a disciplined offensive approach and a strong collective effort from its pitching staff.
The Trojans scored five runs on just two hits thanks to nine walks and smart baserunning. Christos Tassopoulos reached base three times and scored, while Duke Psoras added two runs and a sacrifice fly. Jesus Rodriguez drove in two with the team's only RBI hit of the game.
ACM also stole two bases — one each from Psoras and Ben Abram — to generate key scoring opportunities.
On the mound, the Trojans used six pitchers who combined for eight strikeouts and allowed just one earned run.
- Diego Gil held Hocking to one unearned run over 2.2 innings with three strikeouts.
- Hiroto Kimura threw 1.1 hitless innings, striking out two.
- Brady Moran earned the win with a clutch out in the fifth.
- Keegan Roach secured the save by retiring six of the seven batters he faced, fanning two.
Despite being out-hit 5–2, ACM's patience at the plate and depth on the mound secured the 5–3 victory.

Sypa Fires Immaculate Inning in Run-Rule Rout
The nightcap saw ACM unleash its full offensive arsenal, scoring 15 runs on 13 hits — and adding a pitching milestone to cap the sweep.
Freshman left-hander Ivan Sypa delivered an immaculate inning in the fifth, striking out all three batters he faced on just nine pitches — one of baseball's rarest feats and a highlight moment for the Trojans.
Offensively, ACM was unstoppable from the start:
ACM also drew six walks and was hit by three pitches, applying constant pressure to Hocking's pitching staff.
On the mound:
- Christopher Fagot earned his first win, allowing just one earned run over 2.0 innings.
- Caden Long struck out two in a scoreless frame.
- Ian Guevara retired all three batters he faced, striking out three.
- Sypa capped the outing with his immaculate inning.
The Trojans' staff combined for nine strikeouts and just three hits allowed in the five-inning run-rule win.
