CUMBERLAND, MD — The Allegany College of Maryland volleyball team continued its early-season surge with a commanding sweep over Penn Highlands on Monday evening at Bob Kirk Arena. The Trojans won in straight sets, 25-19, 25-12, 25-11, improving their overall record to 4–1.
ACM was led by sophomore setter Makenna Conway (Mountain Ridge), who delivered a standout double-double performance with 25 assists and 11 digs, setting the tone for a well-balanced offensive attack.
Freshman Nailevd Lorenzo-Lopez contributed across the board with 5 kills, 9 digs, and 3 aces, while Ryan Whitehead (Mountain Ridge) added 4 kills, 10 digs, and 3 aces, showcasing her consistency on both offense and defense.
Autumn Hoppert (Bishop Walsh) was a force at the net, tallying 7 kills and 2 blocks, and Addison Miller chipped in with 3 kills, 1 block, and 3 digs. Defensively, Kailyn McCoy anchored the back row with 7 digs, helping the Trojans maintain control throughout the match.
Head Coach Joseph Brewer praised the team's energy and execution:

The Trojans will hit the road this Saturday for a tri-match at the College of Southern Maryland, where they'll face Montgomery College at noon and CSM at 2 p.m.
