Chris Ruppenkamp is a Physical Education Technician and game manager for the Athletic Dept. Chris is entering his 42nd year working at ACM and has been a part of the department since the fall of 1976 as a student.Â
Chris graduated from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Maryland in 1976, then attended ACM to transfer to Frostburg State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Recreation and Leadership in 1980. Chris started at ACM on Coach Bob Kirk's Men's Basketball Staff as scorekeeper in 1978 and transitioned to the roll of Trainer/Manager in 1980. Chris fulfilled that role and more up until the year Coach Bob Kirk retired from coaching in 2004. Chris also helped Coach Steve Bazarnic as 1st Base Coach from 1980 to 1984. Chris has been game manager at all home events since 2005.Â
Chris has been acknowledged and awarded with the ACM Achievement Award in 2016 and in 2017, Chris earned the Excellence Award from the League of Innovation and national Community Colleges where the event was held in Washington, D.C.Â
Chris is married to Bonnie and resides in Cumberland, Maryland and they have a son, Adam.Â
