Nellie Whetzel, born Karmen Nellie Whetzel on September 2nd, in Petersburg, West Virginia, is a dedicated freshman athlete at Allegany College of Maryland (ACM). Standing at 5’6", Nellie is a dual-sport athlete, excelling in both basketball and soccer. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 2024 and is currently pursuing a major in Biology, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. Nellie hails from Maysville, West Virginia, and is the eldest sibling, with a younger sister named Maggie. Her parents, Tonya Kitzmiller, an accountant, and Jeff Whetzel, a lineman, have been supportive of her athletic endeavors.

Nellie comes from a family with a rich history in sports. Her aunt played basketball at Fairmont State, one cousin was a wrestler at WVU, another played basketball at Potomac State, and she even has a cousin who competed in the NASCAR truck series.
