Allegany College of Maryland

Saniya Brown, a sophomore at Allegany College of Maryland, hails from Culpeper, Virginia, where she was also born. Standing at 5’6", Saniya is a dedicated member of the Women’s Basketball team and is pursuing a major in General Studies, with an expected graduation date of May 2025. She graduated from Eastern View High School in 2023, where she made a significant impact on the court.

Saniya comes from a large and athletic family. Her brother Daijordan played for Lynchburg and EMU and is now playing overseas. Her cousin Maliq Brown is currently playing basketball for Duke after transferring from Syracuse, and another cousin, Jason Brown, was a quarterback for South Carolina and Jackson State. Saniya’s parents, Irene and Paul Brown, along with her siblings, have been a strong support system throughout her journey.
