Coach Rick Twigg hired as ACM Softball Coach in 2020

Prior to ACM, Coach Twigg spent 24 years at Allegany High School where he accumulated 2 state championships, 1 state finalist and numerous region and area championships. Coach Twigg also founded the Cumberland Heat Girls' Fastpitch Association in 1996 and has been involved since in various roles ranging from Vice President to head coach.

Between Allegany High School and Cumberland Heat, numerous players have gone on to play at DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and Juco schools under Twigg.

Coach Twigg attended 4 years at Fort Hill High School where he played football and baseball. Upon graduation, he completed a 4-year apprenticeship in IBEW Local 307 and became an electrician. Coach ended his working career with NEFCO Biosolids as plant manager.

He is the proud husband of Pam Twigg and proud father of Jenny (Grove), Kim (Root), and Lindsey (Farnsworth). He is also the proud grandfather of his 6 grandchildren. He resides in Cresaptown, MD with wife, Pam.
