Coach Logan Stewart

Logan Stewart

Logan Stewart serves as Allegany College of Maryland's Strength & Conditioning Coach, where he oversees the physical development and performance training of Trojan student-athletes across all athletic programs. Entering his third year at ACM and seventh year in collegiate strength and conditioning, Stewart works closely with coaches and student-athletes to design and implement sport-specific training programs that enhance athletic performance, reduce injury risk, and support long-term athletic development.

In collaboration with each head coach, Stewart develops comprehensive year-round strength and conditioning plans tailored to the unique demands of each sport. These programs are strategically adjusted throughout the athletic calendar year, including preseason preparation, in-season maintenance, and postseason development phases. Coaches and student-athletes benefit from customized training approaches designed to improve strength, power, speed, agility, endurance, mobility, and overall athletic performance.

Working out of the ACM Fitness Center, Stewart provides hands-on instruction and supervision for team workouts while also creating individualized training programs for student-athletes pursuing specific performance goals. He regularly develops customized and virtual training plans that allow athletes to continue progressing during academic breaks, summer months, winter recess, and other periods when they may be away from campus.

Stewart's commitment to individualized athlete development extends beyond team training. Student-athletes seeking additional guidance in strength training, conditioning, fitness improvement, injury prevention, or performance enhancement are encouraged to connect with him directly to discuss their goals and training needs.

Prior to joining ACM, Stewart gained collegiate strength and conditioning experience at Frostburg State University, assisting all athletic programs, the University of South Carolina, where he worked with football and track & field, and Coastal Carolina University, supporting baseball, football, volleyball, and golf. His diverse background has allowed him to work with athletes competing at multiple levels of collegiate athletics and across a wide range of sports.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Stewart is the owner and operator of Elite Appalachian Development, a Western Maryland-based training organization dedicated to developing athletes across numerous sports and age groups through evidence-based performance training.

Outside of ACM, Stewart currently serves as Head Football Coach at Northern High School in Garrett County, Maryland, where he leads the Huskies football program while continuing to mentor and develop young athletes both on and off the field.

A former student-athlete himself, Stewart graduated from Frostburg State University in 2016 after completing a four-year football career with the Bobcats. His experience as both an athlete and coach has shaped his philosophy of helping student-athletes maximize their potential through disciplined training, consistent effort, and long-term athletic development.
Student-athletes seeking individualized training plans, sport-specific performance programs, off-campus workout plans, or guidance during academic breaks are encouraged to contact Coach Stewart at lstewart3@allegany.edu.
