Allegany College of Maryland

Axel Yariel Sosa is a dedicated baseball player at Allegany College of Maryland, majoring in Business. Originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City, Axel brings a rich heritage and strong athletic background to the team. Standing at 5’9" and weighing 160 lbs, he is a versatile player committed to excelling both on the field and in his studies. Axel graduated from The College Academy in New York in 2022 and is expected to complete his studies at ACM in June 2026.

Axel’s passion for baseball runs in the family. His father, Albeniz Sosa, played baseball for BCC in New York, inspiring Axel’s own athletic journey. With no siblings, Axel has focused his energy on his sport and academics. His parents, particularly his father who works at the post office, have been a significant source of support. Axel’s journey from high school to college showcases his dedication and potential, making him a valuable asset to the ACM baseball team.
