Allegany College of Maryland recently welcomed back one of its most accomplished basketball alumni,
Demarcus Demonia, for a special visit to his former stomping grounds. Demonia's journey has taken him from Cumberland to the NCAA ranks at
Texas A&M-Commerce, and most recently to professional basketball in Germany with
BBC Bayreuth and the
Bamberg Baskets.

Before launching a successful collegiate and professional career, Demonia starred for the Trojans, where he established himself as one of the premier players in program history. His time at Allegany helped pave the way for a standout career at Texas A&M-Commerce and ultimately overseas, where he has continued to make an impact at every level.

During his visit back to ACM, Demonia had the opportunity to reconnect with coaches, staff, and members of the athletics department who followed his rise from NJCAA standout to professional athlete. The visit served as a celebration of both his accomplishments and the lasting relationships built during his time as a Trojan.
Adding to the occasion, Demonia presented ACM Athletics with
three jerseys from different stops along his basketball journey, including his professional experiences in Germany. The jerseys will now become part of the college's iconic
Jersey Wall, joining the growing collection that showcases the success of former Trojans competing at the next level.
ACM Athletics is proud to celebrate Demarcus' achievements and grateful for the chance to catch up with one of the program's great success stories. His path from Allegany College of Maryland to professional basketball serves as an inspiration to current and future Trojans, demonstrating that hard work, perseverance, and belief in the process can open doors around the world.
