Elijah Byrd, Athletic Trainer

Elijah Byrd joined Allegany College of Maryland Athletics after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 2024 and completing his Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2026.

Throughout his academic and clinical training, Byrd gained valuable hands-on experience at Potomac State College, Pivot Physical Therapy, and with several Frostburg State University athletic programs, including football, acrobatics and tumbling, and men's wrestling. One of the highlights of his graduate experience was celebrating alongside the Frostburg State football team as they captured the 2025 Mountain East Conference Championship at Fairmont.

As an athletic trainer, Byrd is passionate about helping student-athletes perform at their highest level while supporting their health, recovery, and long-term well-being. He looks forward to making a positive impact on the lives of ACM student-athletes and continuing to grow professionally throughout his career.

Outside of athletics, Byrd enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their two cats. His hobbies include playing and collecting retro video games, gardening, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
