Greensburg, PA – October 4, 2025

The Allegany College of Maryland Cross Country team delivered a strong performance at the Pitt-Greensburg Fall Classic, with standout finishes and a memorable day of team unity and family support.

Leading the charge for the women's team was Emily Smith, who earned a 10th place medal with an impressive time of 31:13.5. Smith's consistent pace and determination placed her among the top finishers in a competitive field of 41 runners.

Close behind was Summer Kreydatus, who showcased her grit and competitive edge by overtaking a fellow runner in the final 30 yards to secure 14th place with a time of 33:18.1. Her late-race surge was a highlight of the day and a source of inspiration for the entire team.

On the men's side, Jace Patton finished 24th in a field of 38 participants, clocking in at 43:27.6. Luke Turner followed with a 30th place finish, completing the course in 49:49.7. Both runners demonstrated resilience and commitment throughout the race.

"Beyond the competition, the event was marked by a heartwarming show of support—every runner had family present, a first for the ACM squad. The presence of loved ones added a special energy to the day, making it not only a competitive success but also a meaningful moment for the team." Said coach Will Giles. 

With medals earned, personal bests achieved, and spirits high, the ACM Cross Country team continues to build momentum this fall season.
