Steve Bazarnic Field
The Allegany College of Maryland Baseball Field, formerly known as 'The Rock,' is the home of the Trojans baseball team. A manicured baselines, lush outfield grass, plus a great playing surface host the field's other amenities including a pitcher's mound and dugouts. A new scoreboard has been sponsored and will be erected for the 2018 season. The Trojans' baseball home is conveniently situated next to Bob Kirk Arena and is close to locker rooms and coaches' offices. The field supplies metal bleachers and there is a flat surfaced, outdoor basketball court directly behind. In the mountains, there is tons of room for camping chairs and pop up canopies without blocking views of other fans. Restrooms are with a few feet. There is parking and no admission fee. At this point, there are no outdoor concessions but there are vending machines. Newly dedicated Steve Bazarnic Field (2023) is recently completed phase 2 of 3 with Hummer Turf and Grass Solutions renovating the whole outfield. The job consisted of:
-Hauling in material and grading
-Installing an irrigation system
-Building a warning track along the outfield fence
-Sodding the outfield
Playing dimensions are 340 feet down the lines, 385 feet in the power alleys and 400 feet to straightaway center.
