DuBois, PA — The Lady Trojans Softball (Fall) team put together an impressive weekend showing, going undefeated across four games with three wins and one tie. The squad showcased depth in the circle, aggressive base running, and timely hitting to outscore opponents 28–16 over the two-day stretch.
Saturday Game 1: Lady Trojans 7, Cougars 2
The weekend began with a statement win over the Cougars, powered by Breean Gay's four-RBI performance. Gay's fifth-inning triple broke the game open, part of a six-run rally that flipped a 2–1 deficit into a commanding lead. Brylee Bateson tossed three scoreless innings to start, Gay earned the win in relief, and Autumn Medina closed it out with a save. Natalie Melby went 3-for-3 from the leadoff spot, and the team drew six walks while turning a double play defensively.
Saturday Game 2: Lady Trojans 8, Penn State Mont Alto 7
In a back-and-forth battle, the Lady Trojans edged Penn State Mont Alto 8–7. Raley Nestor's two-run triple and Kelly Mercedes' RBI double highlighted a five-run fifth inning. Autumn Medina's sixth-inning RBI single proved decisive. Gay earned her second win of the day, and Medina collected another save.
