Nick Falla Earns NJCAA All-American Honors After Dominant Season on the Mound

Nick Falla, a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Allegany College of Maryland, has been named to the 2025 NJCAA Division II Baseball All-American Third Team. Falla delivered a dominant season on the mound, finishing with a perfect 7-0 record across 11 appearances and six starts. He posted a nation-leading 1.08 ERA and struck out 73 batters over 50 innings, ranking ninth in total strikeouts and 11th in strikeouts per game (13.14). His WHIP of 0.70 and opponent batting average of .128 further underscore his effectiveness.

Falla's performance was instrumental in Allegany's competitive season, where he also recorded three complete games and two shutouts. His ability to control games and limit baserunners made him one of the most efficient pitchers in the country. Notably, he did not allow a single home run all season and issued only 16 walks, showcasing both power and precision 

His selection to the All-American Third Team places him among the elite in NJCAA Division II baseball, a testament to his consistency and impact.

In total, 36 student-athletes were named to the NJCAA Division II Baseball All-American First, Second, and Third Teams for the 2025 season, with an additional 18 receiving Honorable Mention honors. These selections reflect the depth of talent across the division and highlight the significance of Falla's achievement.
