The following day, the Trojans faced the Penn Highlands Black Bears. Due to a forfeit for a future game, ACM earned two automatic wins, but they still took to the field with determination.
Game 1: Trojans Fall Short in a Close Contest
In the first game, the Trojans were up big early but ultimately fell 11-10 in the bottom of the seventh inning. Morgan Nelling, Kayla Hill, and Nakiya Copes led the charge with hot bats, with Nelling driving in three runs.
Game 2: Trojans Redeem Themselves
Seeking redemption, the Trojans dominated the second game, scoring in every inning and securing a 14-10 victory. The fourth inning was particularly explosive, with five runs scored. It was a true team effort, with everyone contributing to the scoring, hits, and RBIs columns. Martinez and Gabryelle Pendo had multiple hits, highlighting the team's collective strength.
The Trojans now look ahead to their next challenge against Anne Arundel next week, ready to build on their recent performances and continue their pursuit of excellence.
