Cumberland, MD – The Allegany College of Maryland Trojans had standout performances in January, with both Maylee Regan and Jaylen Brown earning NJCAA Region 20 Division I honors for their exceptional play.

Maylee Regan, Freshman Forward

Maylee Regan was a force on the court for the Trojans' women's basketball team, averaging a double-double with 15.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Regan's consistency was evident as she played seven games, including six in a grueling nine-day span, and recorded five double-doubles. Her all-around game also saw her average three assists, 1.6 steals, and two blocks per game.

Two of her standout performances came against Frederick and Harford. On January 15, Regan scored 15 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in a win over Frederick. A week later, she put up 22 points and nine blocks in a game against Harford. Regan's defensive prowess is highlighted by her leading Region 20 Division I with 23 blocks.

Jaylen Brown, Freshman Guard

On the men's side, Jaylen Brown showcased his skills, averaging 17 points per game while shooting an impressive 54% from the floor and 85% from the free throw line. Brown also contributed significantly in other areas, averaging 5.6 rebounds, six assists, and 2.4 steals per game. His endurance was on full display as he played 185 out of a possible 205 minutes in January, helping the Trojans to a 3-2 record for the month.

One of Brown's most memorable performances came in an overtime win against CCBC Dundalk, where he played all 45 minutes and scored 10 of his 21 points in the overtime period, leading the Trojans to victory.

Both Regan and Brown have demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, earning them well-deserved recognition in NJCAA Region 20 Division I. Their performances have been instrumental in the Trojans' success and are a testament to their hard work and determination.
