October 22, 2025 – Cumberland, MD — Allegany College of Maryland's fall athletic teams are heading into a pivotal weekend of NJCAA Region 20 postseason competition, with volleyball, women's soccer, men's soccer, and cross country all in action.

Volleyball:
The ACM Trojans volleyball team secured the #9 seed in the Region 20 tournament and will travel to face #8 Howard Community College on Tuesday, October 28 in a play-in match. The winner advances to face #1 Montgomery College in the quarterfinals.

The last time Allegany matched up with Howard earlier this season, the Trojans fell in a hard-fought five-set battle: 17–25, 25–12, 31–29, 10–25, 12–15. With postseason stakes on the line, ACM looks to flip the script in the rematch.

Women's Soccer:
The #6-seeded ACM women's soccer team will face #3 CCBC Essex on the road in the Region 20 quarterfinals on Saturday, October 25 at 12:00 PM. The Trojans aim to bounce back from a 6–0 loss to Essex on October 2 and are preparing for a competitive rematch.

Men's Soccer:
Immediately following the women's match, the #8-seeded ACM men's soccer team will take on #2 CCBC Essex at 2:00 PM in the same location. The Trojans are looking to avenge a 5–0 loss to Essex from October 2 and secure a spot in the Region 20 semifinals.

Women's Cross Country:
ACM will also be represented at the NJCAA Region 20 DI, DII & DIII Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 25. The women's race begins at 12:00 PM at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, PA.
Trojans Emily Smith and Summer Kreydatus will compete in the championship race, with awards to follow immediately after the event.
